Sports rehabilitator and massage therapist

Mathew obtained a BSc (Hons.) degree in sports rehabilitation and injury prevention from Middlesex University and is a registered member of BASRaT. He also has an ITEC diploma in sports massage and is a NASM certified REPs level 3 personal trainer and exercise specialist.

Mathew specialises in the use of soft tissue techniques such as deep tissue and sports massage, myofascial release, trigger points, strain counter strain and PNF. He has further gained a qualification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM, REPS advanced Level 3), enhancing his knowledge in corrective exercise, functional rehabilitation and extensive program design.

Mathew is a keen surfer being originally from Cornwall and enjoys mixed martial arts. He has worked within sports for a number of years, having worked for the London Marathon for the previous 3 years giving pre and post event treatment and massage as well as a number of indoor athletics events.

Further experience has been gained through the work with various patients working for Nuffield Health as a corporate exercises specialist and personal trainer. “I have a strong commitment to excellence, knowledge, and professionalism with uncompromising patient service and a passion for being artistic in my approach to helping people.”
